As we move forward together, I want to take a moment to reflect on the strength, unity, and professionalism that define our Local. Every day, the members of IAFF Local 3 continue to uphold the highest standards of service and commitment to the citizens of Pueblo. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and it’s an honor to represent such an outstanding group of firefighters.

There has been both challenges and opportunities. We’ve faced staffing concerns, operational inefficiencies, and leadership issues that have tested our resolve. But through it all, we’ve stood together — advocating for fair treatment, accountability, and the safety of our members and the community we serve.

Our Executive Board remains committed to ensuring your voices are heard at every level of city government. We are working tirelessly to strengthen our position through data, transparency, and collaboration — all while protecting the rights guaranteed under our contract and the city charter.

Looking ahead, we will continue to push for improved staffing, better training opportunities, and a more effective leadership structure within the department. These are not just union priorities; they are essential components of a safe and functional fire service.

I want to thank every member for their professionalism and unity. Please continue to stay engaged — attend meetings, share input, and hold one another accountable. Together, we are stronger, and together, we will keep moving this department forward.
