What We’re About: Pueblo Local 3 Support
Our Mission
The mission of the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation is to provide crucial aid and support to Colorado firefighters, their families, and dependents in times of tragedy. As part of the broader firefighting community, Pueblo Local 3 plays a vital role in supporting these efforts, ensuring that those who risk their lives to protect our community are never forgotten. The union's commitment to the well-being of its members and their families is integral to the mission of the foundation.
Our History
Founded in January 2002 by members of the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters, the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters Foundation was established to address the emotional and financial void left in the wake of tragedy. Recognizing the sacrifices made by firefighters, including those in Pueblo Local 3, the foundation was created to assist families who face the harsh realities of losing a loved one in the line of duty. The members of Pueblo Local 3, deeply committed to this cause, have worked alongside the Foundation to provide much-needed support to their fellow firefighters and families across Colorado.
Our Purpose
In the aftermath of tragedy, many of the needs of the widows, widowers, and orphans of fallen firefighters are often overlooked. It was to fill this financial gap that the Colorado Fire Fighters Foundation was born. Donations made to the Foundation are directed to the families of fallen firefighters or to firefighters who have been injured or have experienced significant tragedy. Pueblo Local 3 continues to play a critical role in advocating for and directly assisting with these donations, ensuring the support reaches those in need within the firefighting community.
